Q: What is Rabtah? A: Rabtah is an online counselling and support initiative powered by Fatimah Academy. We provide a safe, faith-sensitive, and confidential platform where individuals can connect with experienced counsellors from diverse backgrounds to discuss various personal, academic, and spiritual issues.

Q: Are your counsellors qualified? A: Yes, our team consists of individuals with strong backgrounds in Islamic scholarship, tazkiyah (spiritual purification), and various fields of professional expertise, including medicine, psychology, law, and education. You can view consultants’ profiles for specific qualifications.

Q: How is Rabtah different from traditional therapy? A: While we offer psychological support, our approach is deeply integrated with Islamic teachings and principles. Our counsellors understand the unique cultural and religious context of Muslim life, providing guidance that respects your faith and values.

Booking & Sessions

Q: How do I book a session? A: You can book a one-on-one counselling session directly through our website booking link: www.rabtah.org. Simply select an available counsellor and time slot.

Q: Are the sessions free of cost? A: Yes, initial counselling sessions offered through Rabtah are free of cost until December 31, 2025. The sessions, however, remain indefinitely free for the students of Classical Islamic Theology Programme at Fatimah Academy.

Q: How long is each session? A: The typical duration for an individual counselling session is 30 minutes.

Q: What platform are the sessions held on? A: Sessions are typically held online via a secure conferencing platform (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet). You will receive the specific meeting link and details in your confirmation email.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Q: Is my conversation confidential? A: Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our service. All discussions with your counsellor are kept strictly private and confidential.

Q: Do I have to reveal my identity? A: While we require an email for booking and communication, you can discuss with your counsellor if you prefer to maintain a level of anonymity during the session itself.

Technical & Logistics

Q: I didn’t receive my confirmation email. What should I do? A: Your booking confirmation, which includes the meeting link and details, is sent immediately. Please check your junk or spam folder. If you find it there, kindly mark it as ‘not spam’ to ensure you receive future correspondence. If the issue still persists, please write to us at admin@rabtah.org.

Q: What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule? A: We ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your session so we can accomodate others.
